The side quests are few, and most of those are really forgettable (except for Magilou’s Menagerie that one is just a collection of skits, but it is hilarious). That Bienfu voice must have been murder on her throat! Everyone does a great job as their characters. Benjamin Diskin is fantastic as Rokurou and Taliesin Jaffe nails it as Eizen. Erica Lindbeck perfectly captures the insanity of Magilou, as well as her more serious moments. The original Japanese is amazing, of course, but I kind of prefer the English dub! Cristina Valenzuela isVelvet she puts so much emotion into the character that it even puts the Japanese actress, Rina Satô (who is also great, don’t get me wrong), to shame. These are serviced by the spectacular voice acting. These are used wonderfully to flesh out each member of the party, and they’re so damn enjoyable to watch that you’d be doing yourself a disservice by skipping them. These range from discussions on recent events in the plot to light-hearted conversations about something random. If you haven’t ever played a Tales game, Skits are small optional dialogues between the party members. The group chemistry in this game is amazing! From the brotherly bond of Laphicet, Rokurou, and Eizen to the bickering rivalry between Velvet and Eleanor to the whole group’s impatience with Magilou’s bullshit, they’re all a delight!Īnd their personalities are explored a ton in the Skits. Each character has a distinct personality that plays super well off of everyone around them. ![]() The party is easily one of my favorites in any RPG. It explores incredibly interesting themes of emotion vs reason, all captured by one question: “Why do birds fly?” ![]() You are the Lord of Calamity, the leader of a merry band of assholes out to do whatever they want. Pls dont spread bs and act like you know everything.I love the story of this game! You essentially play as the bad guys, at least in the eyes of all the NPCs. Break Soul increase the damage of everything but break souls. Malak Artes increase the stagger time of everything but spells. Hidden Artes increase the chance of chance based effects occurring for everything other than artes. Martial Artes reduce the SG cost of everything but Martial Artes. ill be back if i find some more good ones after playing with her for abit ) came here for some eleanor combos to get me started. that happends when you try to attack with no/not enough SG.Īnyways. " decrease the damage and accuracy of the attacks" is also false. if your statement was true, i would only do 2 hits in this scenario. Velvet's Slag Assault cost 30 SG and is a hidden arte, 3 gems is slag assault 3 times. "using the same arte in a combo increases the SG cost" not true either. i assume a combo with 10+ martial artes in them would make all future hits free of charge. Those bonuses applies to ALL attacks further down the combo chain. Hidden artes increase status procc chance each martial arte decrease the cost of ALL subsequent artes in the combo by 10%. "Using Hidden Artes after 2 Base artes decrease the SG cost of the Hidden arte" is kinda wrong. ![]() ![]() Using Hidden Artes after 2 Base artes decrease the SG cost of the Hidden arte, using the same arte in a combo increases the SG cost and decrease the damage and accuracy of the attacks(as long as the combo count is on).Īnd its amazing to see how you, who bother to read the tutorial somehow manage to get everything you say, wrong.
